StrideCharge’s Wireless Charging Phone Mount Allows Cyclists to Ride As Long As They Want

Picture this: it is early Saturday morning, and the sun is barely up. You have been looking forward to getting on your bike all week, and now that you are on the road, miles of adventure stretch before you. Your wheels are humming underneath you, your legs are pumping rhythmically, and you feel like a Tour de France winner. Then, out in the middle of nowhere, you look down at your phone to check your location and see that it’s dead. As you coast to a stop, your heart sinks because the nearest convenience store is miles back, and it might not even be open yet. Yes, it really would have been nice to have StrideCharge’s first patent-pending wireless Charging Phone Case and Mount for bicycles.

It is a common problem for cyclists: how to keep their iPhones charged as they explore backroads, cities, and woods. StrideCharge, whose team members are cyclists themselves, has innovated the solution: an iPhone Charge Case, built-in battery, and Mount. Their number-one goal was to create a product that would be simple for cyclists to use and that would keep their phones charged for as long as they wanted to ride.

It starts with simplicity. StrideCharge knows that cyclists simply want to get on their bikes and ride, so they focused on making the Mount ultra-easy to install. No tools are needed - instead, it just locks in place on handlebars that are 25-40mm in diameter. Once on, the Mount stays on. You do not have to grip it to prevent it from slipping as you ride.

There is no point, of course, in taking along your iPhone if it is going to be damaged by the shock of going over tree branches, rocks, and other rough terrain. That is why after extensive research and testing, StrideCharge chose to use two very tough materials in its products: ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethanes). Your Apple iPhone will be insulated from the jolts and vibrations that accompany every ride no matter how smooth the pavement might look.

As a bonus, StrideCharge also allows you to use your phone even if it is still charging. What that means is that no matter where you are in your ride, you will be able to check trail maps, send a quick text, call a family member, or just relax, knowing that if you do need your phone, it will be there for you.

While StrideCharge’s wireless Charging Phone Case and Mount was originally designed for the cycling community, it has quickly expanded into new markets, including for golfers, hikers, campers, mothers with strollers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.

It isn’t hard to understand why. We all have two basic needs: to get out of the house so that we can explore the world on our own terms and to stay connected on some level with other people. Until StrideCharge innovated a way for iPhones to stay charged wherever we are, we had to choose between one or the other. That often resulted in lost opportunities and discontentment.

Now, however, we don’t have to choose. Because of StrideCharge, we can have the best of both worlds - we can get on our bikes (or hit the golf course) and go off the grid as much as we like while still maintaining contact with the “real world.” Best of all, we determine when we return to it, not our phones, and that is giving us exactly what we have been wanting all along: freedom.
