Keith Gebert: Love the Life you Live - or Change It

Keith Gebert is the founder of RightBridge Financial Group, and he’s got a message for kids and young adults: “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

That might not be the first message you’d expect to hear from a financial professional, but Gebert is in the wealth management industry because he believes that the more you give, the more you get out of life. “We aim to guide you towards a financially secure future filled with purpose and significance,” he says. “Wealth management is about so much more than money. It’s about peace of mind. The ability to focus on what’s really important - your family and loved ones, your dreams, your goals.”

At RightBridge, affluent families are assisted in creating a plan to protect and grow their wealth, manage their tax exposure, insure potential risks, and create a legacy for their future. Alternative investments, top-performing fund managers, endowment structuring, and risk mitigation strategies are utilized to build a diverse portfolio for clients. Every client receives personalized attention and a proactive approach to financial planning, tailored to their specific goals and objectives using the most efficient methods available. No one strategy is a one-size-fits-all solution, which is why each client receives the full focus of the team from planning to execution to follow-up.

“Wake up and love the life you live - or change it until you are in love with it,” Gebert says. “There are two things we get every day when we wake up: a chance and a choice. The choices you make after you get your chance is on you.” He says that wisely managing one’s wealth can help ensure financial security and stability for both the individual and their family. Having a solid financial foundation can provide peace of mind and help individuals achieve their long-term financial goals, such as retirement or supporting their children's education.

“We can help individuals make informed decisions about their finances, such as when to invest in the stock market, when to make large purchases, and when to save money,” Gebert affirms. “We also help clients reduce their tax exposure, minimize financial risks, and create a lasting legacy for future generations. In addition, we can help people grow their wealth over time, providing a comfortable retirement and financial independence. Ultimately, wisely managing wealth is a crucial step towards achieving financial success and stability.”

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Gebert moved to New Jersey and started his company, Rightbridge Financial Group, along with RightBridge Private Capital. Gebert’s book, Stress-Testing Your Savings, is featured on Forbes’ "Executive Library", a series that highlights business books written by Forbes Councils experts.

Keith Gebert is an experienced financial professional who has been in the industry since 2006. He has a strong background in strategic planning and has had the opportunity to consult with some of the top financial and retirement professionals in the nation. Keith is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and a member of the Financial Planning Association, and has also completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He was a member of New York Life’s Executive Council and received the Life Foundation Award, one of the company's highest achievements. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Keith is committed to community service and has recently partnered with the Make A Wish foundation, where he is now part of the Wish Society and is at the Wish Grantor Level of their charitable distinction.

“I’ve always been interested in the growing convergence between individuals and their businesses,” Gebert reveals. “One trend in this growing intersection is a type of corporate personification in which companies now have visions and values, just like people, and people now have missions - just like companies. I know exactly what my personal mission is: to live my best, most extraordinary life by helping others live theirs.”

This mission is what led him to author his book and to donate all the resulting proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation NJ. “Given my personal mission, it’s probably not surprising that I have a fascination with what exactly it is that allows some people, whom I’ll call extraordinary, to achieve their fullest potential and make uncommon contributions to the world,” Gebert says. “I feel my purpose and mission can be a unique value add to many individuals and organizations.”

“We go through an in-depth audit of their finances and focus on what I call ‘Lifestyle Planning’ - weighing their preferred lifestyle and then designed a customized financial team of CPAs, estate attorneys, whatever is needed,” he says. “With my direct relationship with some of the largest asset managers, I am now able to provide a family endowment plan that aligns them with their mission and values. Most of all, I strive to give them financial education at the very least.”

He says that a large part of his company’s success is due to the fact that he never stops learning. He seeks to provide value and expand his knowledge by learning from others, to collectively grow and bring love, life, and education to others around him. He is passionate about the financial planning services his firm offers to the individuals and families that it serves.
