Michelle Barone Media (MBM) To Expand R.E.D. Podcast

New York, NY - Comprehensive marketing agency Michelle Barone Media (MBM) has announced plans to expand its podcast, R.E.D. (Relevant, Entertaining, and Dynamic), which serves as a platform for small business owners and those involved in social media and digital marketing.

 

This decision was made based upon the success of the podcast, as well as the fact that the industry is growing. Podcasts fall under the global location-based entertainment market, which is projected to grow at a CAGR of around 36.7% from 2021 to 2028, and is expected to reach a market value of $6 billion USD by 2028. Digital advertising and marketing is also growing significantly, projected to reach $786.2 billion USD by 2026 at a CAGR of 13.9%.

 

MBM is launching a new website to promote both its marketing services and to support the R.E.D. podcast. The new site will offer expanded features, allowing users to download past episodes, view teasers for upcoming episodes, apply to become a guest, contact previous guests, view exclusive behind the scenes content, and access resources such as links to each guest’s e-commerce brands. The updated website is set to target Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami.

 

President and CEO of MBM, Michelle Barone-Lepore, says that the services provided by MBM align with the goal of the podcast. “We are a digital marketing and advertising agency,” she says, “and as such, we have seen the massive impact of social media marketing, content creation, and the role of influencers in modern advertisement. She points to the ever-growing global market value of digital content creation, which is projected to reach $38.2 billion USD by 2030. “TikTok has been valued at as much as $75 billion,” she says, “with a billion users. Instagram is worth nearly $2 billion, Meta/Facebook at about $245 billion - to ignore these markets would be a mistake for any brand. People are turning to social media more and more for advertising and purchasing.”

 

These apps have complex integrated algorithms tracking the types of content that users interact with (via likes, shares, and comments) and displays advertisements based upon past use. For example, a new mother may interact primarily with TikTok videos that focus on early childhood development; as a result, the ads that pop up on her feed will be for diapers, formula, toys that encourage learning, etc.
