Dr. Aury M. Curbelo is the CEO and Founder of Digetech, a Manage Security Service Provider (MSSP) company specialized in Cybersecurity Services with the mission of developing and managing cybersecurity programs for small and mid-sized businesses, making budget security affordable to any organizations.  

Dr Curbelo has over 18 years of Information Technology and Cybersecurity leadership experience working with industries across the board.  She holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University (OSU) and she has been characterized by her professional contributions, offering international workshops and training in areas such as Dark Web, cybersecurity, digital forensics, network security, Social Engineering, phishing, among others.

She is also a passionate of promoting education and awareness by teaching cybersecurity in high schools and for that goal Dr. Curbelo founded the Hippocampus Academy- https://hippocampusacademy.com/  which is a free program and eLearning management  platform that incorporates microlearning and gamification to teach cybersecurity to teens and to promotes the interest in study cybersecurity. 

In 2021 Dr. Curbelo was awarded one of the Top Women in Cybersecurity Latin America by Womcy.  Moreover Dr. Curbelo have robust technical proficiency in multiple security tools and technologies and have been frequently recognized by senior management for exemplary performance and have attained a Community Service Star Award for developing a successful Cyber Security Awareness Campaign for Teens in Puerto Rico (2012 ISLAS AWARDS ICS2).

She has trained multiple people from Latin America and the Caribbean on issues about the importance of information protection.  Dr. Curbelo has competed in the renowned US Hackers competition Defcon in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Social Engineering Village. 

She has participated in other international information security and money laundering prevention conferences as well as other hacking and digital forensics conferences in the world.

During her professional career, she had been consistently exemplified leadership abilities in developing security programs; executing data security policies and disaster recovery strategies; and building cohesive teams. She is also an articulate communicator with natural expertise in delivering insightful presentations on information security topics to executive management and sizable audiences.
