OAKED Partners With Water.org to Further Mission of Kindness

Kindness should be offered freely and openly, and it shouldn’t be a financial burden. Making a meaningful change in someone’s life should be always accessible and given in such a way that it leaves an impression no matter how large or small the act itself is. Something as simple as a compliment can brighten someone’s day. Even having an upbeat conversation can be enough to improve another person’s mood.

This is what OAKED believes in. OAKED, which stands for “One Act of Kindness Every Day”, has a mission to promote, encourage, and spread generosity in everyday life. The team believes even small acts of kindness can leave a profound impact on individuals and their communities, which can lead to a more compassionate and understanding society. But OAKED doesn’t just believe these words. The company has several ways that it puts its mission into action.

OAKED has partnered with several companies in their pursuit for kind and meaningful change. One of their most recent partners is Water.org, a nonprofit that works to make water safe, accessible, and cost-effective around the world. OAKED also appears on Water.org’s Shops to Support page among a number of other companies dedicated to bringing global change.

Another part of OAKED’s mission isn’t just to spread awareness to these causes. The company also donates a percentage of its proceeds to each partner. Any purchase made on OAKED’s website helps further this cause. Currently, OAKED donates a total of 10% of its profits to its partners with hopes to be able to donate 90% in the future. With every partnership, OAKED aspires to ensure a universal good and that community members on both sides can come together and help improve lives.

“We want to instill the value of giving back and togetherness,” says CEO Brandon Soderberg. “At OAKED, we believe that individual efforts are powerful no matter ‘how small’ they are. But we also want to show off how fun and rewarding it is when people work together and that their actions can have positive consequences. No matter what you do, you’re never alone, and we mean that in the best ways.”

Another popular way that OAKED has helped people give back to their communities is through the OAKED Kindness Kit, which comes as a one-time purchase or monthly subscription. This Kindness Kit comes with two hygiene care kits and 11 necessity items that can be donated to those in need or affected by natural disasters. Benefactors can drop these kits off at shelters, churches, local Red Crosses, or other donation centers with the knowledge that they’ll be making a noticeable difference in someone’s life.

Each Kindness Kit also includes three to five special items that buyers can share with those around them, allowing them to further the spirit of giving and presenting the opportunity for their loved ones to pass on the good vibes to someone else. This effort is one way to motivate others to stay compassionate while OAKED’s weekly newsletter helps keep the community connected and inspired by offering resources and sharing the stories of how others spread their acts of kindness.
