Eric Spofford on New Phases: The Granite Recovery Founder Transitions into Real Estate Investment

SALEM, New Hampshire – Eric Spofford is set to make waves in the business world once again as his investment firm Spofford Enterprises receives acclaim and coverage across platforms, such as LA Weekly and Influencive.

“I started out in behavioral healthcare, specifically providing addiction recovery services. Being in recovery myself, I knew what the people were going through and the service I provided led Granite Recovery Center to become the biggest provider in New England,” Eric explains, humble in his presentation and forthright.

The 37-year-old founder and entrepreneur went on to sell Granite Recovery Center in 2021 for an undisclosed sum and soon after established Spofford Enterprises, “I’ve never been a fan of sitting still, after having the life I’ve had, you understand the value in every moment.”

Traversing a hard road, Eric Spofford met obstacles manifested in his parents’ failing marriage, dropping out of high school, addiction, and incarceration. “I knew I was going to end up dead or in jail, that’s the reality check I got,” Eric says. This is to say one thing though, Eric Spofford knows how to adapt.

Starting a New Professional Chapter with Spofford Enterprises

In an interview with the Daily Caller, Eric previously said “Thanks to technology, today, it is possible to leverage digital platforms to showcase your unique edge in your industry. Even with the increased competition, you can still stand out from the rest with determination and an understanding of the digital platforms.”

In leading Spofford Enterprises, Eric balances the reliability of the capital of land itself through real estate and the exciting new takes offered by venture capital, taking on ideas from young founders that have an understanding of the digital market space. “We’re about being on the curb of the next big thing, we don’t want anything so predictable, we get into real estate for a little more control. We want to put more into the hands of the amazing founders and innovators we collaborate with, we want to have a lot of confidence in something that will have some longevity because the world, industry, or whatever is always changing and we know that.”

Eric Spofford’s willingness to learn is a quality he’s held since the early days of Granite, “People really do have a lot more to teach you than you might think, and being open to that is something that could earn a lot of success. It’s served me well, so I try to bring that same energy to Spofford Enterprises.”

Welcoming a New Future

Eric Spofford adapts to change well and understands the transformation that change could bring. Whether in his personal life in finding spiritual realignment, or in business bringing on better advances and comprehensive concepts. “Change is a constant, and I try to embrace it at every turn. And with the firm I’ve been able to dig into that quality receptive to that that’s in myself,” Spofford explains.

Holding core values such as loyalty, integrity, respect, perseverance, and philanthropy, Spofford Enterprises is on track to make bold investments in fully-formed dynamic ventures that have the potential to change an industry. Keeping a foundation of real estate investment, Spofford calculates each investment risk with precision. “I do that to bring some balance to the firm, because in that sense you definitely need an even hand.”
