Paws For The Forest: the World’s Largest Reforestation Pet Community

Walking through the Amazon rainforest can be an immersive and awe-inspiring experience. The dense vegetation and towering trees create a lush and shady environment that is cool and moist even on the hottest days. With the goal of building a worldwide community to preserve the rainforest, Novaes and his team chose to leverage the close relationship between humans and their faithful companions, dogs, to establish the largest reforestation community for pet owners. "This has only made our movement stronger, as it symbolizes our connection to nature," Novaes explains. "With this combined strength, we can all make a difference for the Amazon."

With support from partners and the neighboring communities, as well as the establishment of the Paws For The Forest community, Native Paw is working to replant trees in the Amazon Rainforest. This remarkable endeavor aims to rejuvenate what was once a lush forest but has now been reduced to barren land due to rampant deforestation.

Novaes recognizes that in order for the Amazon to be restored, Native Paw must maximize its reach by leveraging the power of social media, particularly Instagram. This is why Native Paw's first initiative involves planting a tree in the Amazon for every photo posted of a rainforest enthusiast with their dog.
