A small bridal boutique in Cleveland, Ohio draws in thousands of brides from a 90-mile radius, all determined to purchase their white dresses here. The owner of Radiant Bride, Ellen McFadden, lends her business’s success to word-of-mouth and a jump in the market for a prized Radiant Bride possession– designer wedding dresses.

Radiant Bride began when Ellen McFadden set out to buy her daughters’ bridal dresses. When she stumbled upon a small boutique shop in Rocky River, Ohio, she became so inspired that she bought the dresses and the shop that sold them. It became Radiant Bride.

McFadden dedicates her love for la mode to an early experience of her own– watching her mother sew. McFadden was immediately “smitten” by the sight and developed a vision that would catalyze her career.

Six years ago, McFadden maintains, when Radiant Bride opened, she couldn’t have imagined the success they have now. She remains grateful to the brides, who she believes have really helped make it happen.

But the bridal dress business is just beginning. Just last year, the global market for wedding wear was estimated to be $61.1 Billion and it’s only expected to jump to around $69.9 Billion by 2026. 

Following the shift in business, Radiant Bride plans to move into an even bigger, better space. 

In their brand new multi-million dollar, two-story building, guests will have access to six roomy bridal suites and a private parking lot with ample spaces directly behind the building. The company plans to keep it’s celebrated old-timey charm by installing wood-flooring, a fireplace, and a limestone facade. The current display window that brings joy to Rocky River residents will become two display windows in the new shop. This new store will be open in summer of 2023, keeping up with northeast Ohio’s growing quest for a gown. 

Even greater than a wish for a wedding dress are brides’ increasing inclinations to find “the dress”-- a one-of-a-kind gown, specifically tailored to the person. To complement the personal attention they pay during appointment sessions, Radiant Bride is happy to care for customers with a wide collection of specially crafted designer brands, hand-picked and curated by McFadden herself. Some of the dresses McFadden chooses for customers include names such as Allure Bridals, Blue by Enzoani, Enzoani, Love by Enzoani, Essense of Australia, Madi Lane, St. Patrick, and Vera Wang.

Some of which are the top bridal names of the year, players like Allure Bridals excelling in craftsmanship and style to create gowns worthy of Radiant Beauty’s shelves. The Allure Bridal dress figures often blend classic fabrics like satin and lace with embellishing beading and detailing and are just some of many that Radiant Beauty keeps in store.

By appointment, brides can choose the perfect dress with the perfect opportunity– a guided session with help from McFadden and a stylist. The gowns to pick from normally range from $1,500-to-$4,500, most falling in the $1,900-to-$2,400 range, and Radiant Bride is proud of its selection of plus-size gowns, aiming to ensure that every bride feels beautiful.
