From a 90-mile radius around Cleveland, hundred of thousands of brides all make their way inward, toward a small bridal boutique, determined to purchase their big-day dresses here. 

Radiant Bride began when Ellen McFadden explored Rocky River to buy her daughters’ bridal dresses and found a hidden treasure. When she happened upon the small, boutique she became so awed that she bought the whole package: the dresses and the dress shop itself, naming her new possession Radiant Bride.

McFadden attributes her heart for dresses to an initial inspiration– watching her mother sew. McFadden says she become so “smitten” that she still hasn’t lost this fire, even today.

With a degree in fashion under her belt, McFadden declares to have started Radiant Bride with a simple business plan of her own, one which she still follows today: work hard, serve the brides, and stay humble. This business plan resulted in exponential growth for the company– mostly from word of mouth– and the hundreds of 5-star Google reviews are proof Radiant Bride’s attention to quality service.

Six years ago, McFadden holds, when Radiant Bride opened, she couldn’t have imagined the success they have now. She remains grateful to the brides, who she believes have really helped make it happen. McFadden also dedicates the boutique’s success to good word-of-mouth and a jump in dress demand for a special Radiant Bride collection, one that has been cultivated by McFadden herself– the designer line.

The desire for a dress is on the rise. Just last year, the global market for wedding wear was estimated to be $61.1 Billion and is only expected to increase to around $69.9 Billion by 2026. 

Following the business ascension, Radiant Bride will expand into an even larger, roomier space. In their brand new, two-story building, guests will have access to six spacious bridal suites and a private parking lot with ample spaces directly behind the building. 

With a wood flooring, a fireplace, and a limestone facade, the company is determined to retain it’s famously recognized, old-timey feel in this new center. The current display window that brings smiles to Rocky River residents will turn into two display windows in the new shop, opening up the shop for more exposure. 

This new store will be open in summer of 2023, rising with northeast Ohio’s growing search for a great gown.

But recently, Brides are looking for even more than just a big day dress. Trends have shown that women to want to find “the dress”-- one that you can’t easily find. Successful dresses today are carefully composed, specifically tailored to the wearer, and fitted with care.

Some of these are key fashion players in this years global market, such as Madi Lane whose dresses balance between modern brilliance and classic sophistication. These gowns feature delicate embellishments, skillfully placed on rich fabrics, and are just some of many that Radiant Beauty keeps in store.

By appointment, brides can schedule a great opportunity to choose the best dress– an assisted session with direction from McFadden and a stylist. The gowns to pick from normally range from $1,500-to-$4,500, most falling in the $1,900-to-$2,400 range, and Radiant Bride is proud of its selection of plus-size gowns, aiming to ensure that every bride feels beautiful.
