Thousands of brides from a 90-mile radius travel to a small bridal boutique in Cleveland, Ohio to purchase their ivory gowns. The owner of Radiant Bride, Ellen McFadden, attributes her business’s success to good word-of-mouth and hiking call for a sought-after Radiant Bride item– designer wedding dresses.

When Ellen McFadden went to buy her daughters’ bridal dresses, she stumbled upon the store of her dreams. A small boutique shop in Rocky River, Ohio inspired her so that she bought the dresses and the dress shop itself. She fashioned this into Radiant Bride.

McFadden commits her love for dresses to an initial experience of her own– watching her mother sew. McFadden says she became so “smitten” that she developed a dream to dress.

After obtaining a degree in fashion, McFadden says to have started Radiant Bride with a simple yet effective business plan of her own, one she’s remained true to for years: work hard, serve the brides, and stay humble. This business plan resulted in continuous growth for the company– mostly from word of mouth– and the hundreds of 5-star Google reviews are a testament to Radiant Bride’s high level of service.

Six years ago, McFadden maintains, when Radiant Bride opened, she couldn’t have imagined the success they have now. She remains grateful to the brides, who she understands have lifted the store to its heights.

And this is just the beginning for the bridal dress business. Just last year, the global market for wedding wear was estimated to be $61.1 Billion and is only projected to increase to around $69.9 Billion by 2026.

Following the shift in business, Radiant Bride plans to expand into an even bigger, better space. Rising from the ground is their brand new multi-million dollar, two-story building. At this center, guests will have access to six spacious bridal suites and a private parking lot with ample spaces directly behind the building. 

The new boutique will continue to celebrate it’s praised old-timey personality with wood-flooring, a fireplace, and a limestone facade. The current display window that joys Rocky River residents will become two display windows in the new shop. This new store will be open in summer of 2023, further satisfying much of northeast Ohio’s quest for a gown.

Even greater than a wish for a wedding dress are brides’ increasing inclinations to find “the dress”-- a uniquely made gown, specifically tailored to the person. Along with the personal attention and care they pay during appointment sessions, Radiant Bride is happy to serve customers with a wide collection of specially crafted designer brands, hand-picked and curated by McFadden herself. Some of the dresses McFadden likes to keep in the store brand names such as Allure Bridals, Blue by Enzoani, Enzoani, Love by Enzoani, Essense of Australia, Madi Lane, St. Patrick, and Vera Wang.

Some of these are the top bridal names of the year, players like Enzoani who combine traditional and modern style, sex appeal, superior fit into their dresses. The figures are comfortable and intricately tailored and just some of many that Radiant Beauty keeps in store.

By appointment, brides are given the perfect opportunity to choose the right dress– a guided session with help from McFadden and a stylist. The gowns to pick from normally range from $1,500-to-$4,500, most falling in the $1,900-to-$2,400 range, and Radiant Bride is proud of its selection of plus-size gowns, aiming to ensure that every bride feels beautiful.

Situated on the website, one can find the motto of Radiant Bride which remains, "All you need is LOVE and a GREAT dress!" McFadden believes that the brides already have love and it’s Radiant Bride’s job to help them find the latter.
