Boston, MA—Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys, a high-concept “rock spectacle”, has released their new single “Keep My Head”. The single and accompanying music video have already hit viral status and become another popular hit in their discography. This comes as the second viral music video the band has released with the first being “Goth Beach” back in 2022. The single released on July 22nd and was received warmly among their fanbase.

The band offers a diverse collection of aesthetics and experiences that fans enjoy. Boston Survival Guide has described Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys as “musically sophisticated and immensely talented, wildly unusual and diverse in material and presentation, a Dada-esque circus carnival run amuck, and just plain good ‘not-always-so-clean’ fun.” The band has eight members that all bring their own flavor to the experimental, niche style: Walter Alice Sickert, Mary Widow, Rachel Jayson, Mike Leggio, Matt Zappa, Brother Bones, jojo lazar, and Edrie.

“Keep My Head”’s music video displays the band’s characteristic charm and the unconventional arsenal of tools they use in their musical presentation, such as a glockenspiel, mandolin, and even broken toys. The music video hit thousands of views overnight, and the song has been streamed over 450,000 times.

"Creating ‘Keep My Head’ was like weaving a spell, infusing every note and lyric with the enchanting essence of our collective imagination,” says lead vocalist Walter Alice Sickert. “The song is a portal into our world, a high-voltage invitation for listeners to journey with us through the tapestry of sound and emotion. Just as we broke the mold with 'Goth Beach,' this single is a sonic kaleidoscope that dares to challenge conventions and transport us to uncharted sonic landscapes.”

The success of “Keep My Head” provides the band with the confidence needed to persist in their harmonious blend of “musical alchemy” and the art of performance. Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys aspires to consistently uphold this streak of achievement through their upcoming releases with the aim of expanding their community of fervent listeners. The music video “Keep My Head” is live on the band’s YouTube channel, and the track is available for streaming on both Bandcamp and Spotify.
