Francesca’s Element: Breaking The Mold In Keepsake Preservation

Dallas-based floral preservationist, Francesca’s Element, has been creating eye-catching art pieces to commemorate milestone events since its opening in 2020. Company Founder Francesca Mackey, alongside CEO, Stephen Amiewalan, has continuously discovered new ways to preserve floral bouquets and other special pieces through the medium of resin art.

Aside from its traditional floral preservation process, the company has expanded its creative offerings to preserve a number of things. The artists at Francesca’s Element can preserve the ribbon or bow that was around a bouquet, charms representing a loved one, and lace from a wedding dress to name just a few. In regards to memorial orders, the team of artists can preserve hair, ashes, watches, medical bracelets, rings, jewelry, and more.

Any item that is dry and does not retain moisture can be preserved in resin. The epoxy, or a mixture of chemicals, does not react well to moisture or water. When in doubt, potential customers can always reach out to the team at Francesca’s to ask if what they’re envisioning can be done.

“With resin art, nothing will ever be perfect, but an artist can always strive for it. There will always be methods that change or better materials and equipment to use.”
