Atlanta, GA--

HBCU Alum LLC is gaining attention for aiding students interested in pursuing education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The brand designs original HBCU apparel and accessories that fund these annual scholarships. The company now plans to release its 2023 scholarships with brand-new merchandise to back them up.

“HBCU Alum is truly excited to release its exclusive HBCU Culture sweatshirt,” claims founder Terrence G. Caldwell, “These embroidered crewnecks with kangaroo pockets have been a huge hit amongst HBCU students, alumni, and supporters throughout football season. A customer recently told us the new release is like a hoodie without a hood!”

Previously, the company has released various merchandise and sold it through mediums like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Tiktok.

“Our rapidly-growing social media platform helps to reach students who might be interested in attending but simply aren’t quite sure yet,” claims Caldwell. “We provide our audiences with resourceful content, updates on HBCU-centric news, and stories of HBCU achievements by students and  alumni. Through the platform, we hope to motivate and inspire masses, including potential students and scholarship awardees.”

With a mission to make things happen for its students, HBCU Alum raises the money necessary to provide scholarships through various exclusive apparel and accessories. The merit-based financial awards, which can be used to assist with books, tuition, or school-related fees, will be open to any graduating high school senior planning to enroll at an HBCU in the fall of 2023.

“Our apparel is the lifeblood of our funding,” claims Caldwell. On the website, supporters often discover many originally designed T-shirts, hoodies, hats, cups, canvas art, notebooks, stickers, pins, and more to showcase their pride in these beloved institutions.

When asked about what separates this brand, Caldwell, a proud Tennessee State University graduate and now founder of the brand, maintains that “Consistency, honesty, and authenticity are key! You only fail if you give up. Never stop, never settle, stay consistent.”

HBCU Alum LLC, founded by Terrence G. Caldwell, aims to spotlight students, alumni, traditions, and positive aspects of the Black College experience. The brand also offers a variety of exclusive, original apparel, in which a portion of proceeds helps support their annual HBCU-Bound scholarships. These merit-based financial awards hope to encourage talented high school students to consider HBCUs as viable choices for higher education.
