Wesley “Showtime GMG” Wren Pens New Children’s Book

Chicago native Wesley “Showtime GMG” Wren, an international recording artist and author, publishes the children’s book, I Want To Be: An Athlete. In the first of the I Want To Be series, Wren aims to help children navigate through different sports using colorful illustrations and simple, yet effective rhyming. As part of the series, the 6th Annual Indie Music Awards Artist of the Year nominee reveals plans to publish three additional children’s books in 2023. 

In addition to creating a buzz in the music and entertainment scenes, Wren is a well-rounded entrepreneur who co-owns a beauty supply store that opened in 2021.

“We are working on opening three more WW Beauty Supply stores by January 2024 to expand our presence,” said Wren. 

Earlier this year, Wren charted #74 on Billboard for top current albums and #49 for emerging artists. The Indie artist is most known for his two released albums, Sho Frazier and Sho Frazier 2. His songs are available on all streaming platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, iHeart Radio, and Tidal. 

In 2010, Wren signed a contract with platinum recording artist, Twista, as well as GMG Entertainment.

Wren reveals that he is currently working on a new album, and also continues to perform for senior citizens at a local Chicago nursing home.
